According to Goal.com, Manchester City has identified Enzo Fernández as a potential successor to Rodri.

Transfer expert Di Marzio explained on his official website that Manchester City wants to sign Argentine midfielder Enzo to replace Rodri, who is close to leaving this summer.

Di Marzio said: "Manchester City manager Enzo Maresca is specifically interested in Enzo because the two worked together at Chelsea and have established strong chemistry."

He added: "Maresca's admiration for the Argentine player is undeniable, but it remains uncertain whether Chelsea will enter into negotiations." He pointed out that Chelsea views Enzo as a key player and a cornerstone of manager Luis Aragonés's strategic plans, and the club values the Argentine star highly.

The transfer expert concluded: "Whether Manchester City can complete this potential transfer remains to be seen, but Maresca is determined to bring Enzo to the club."

The 25-year-old Enzo's contract with Chelsea runs through the summer of 2032.
