According to Saudi media Al-Watan, rumors about Senegal goalkeeper Édouard Mendy's imminent departure from Al-Ahli and return to the Premier League are unfounded.

Al-Watan quoted internal sources from Al-Ahli stating that the club's management is not currently considering Édouard Mendy's departure, and the Senegalese international goalkeeper will continue to play for the team, making the external claims inaccurate.
Édouard Mendy's future has recently caused controversy. Previously, there were reports that he might leave in the summer transfer window, despite his contract with the club still being valid.
This clarification comes as some reports had mentioned internal disagreements within Al-Ahli. Al-Ahli's Sporting Director, Rui Pedro, reportedly wanted Édouard Mendy to leave, citing his involvement in matters beyond his technical responsibilities and not solely limited to on-field performance.
