Pantaleo Corvino, Fiorentina’s sporting director has stated that Fiorentina won’t be coming back in for Stevan Jovetic despite coming close (and ultimately failing) to signing him in the Summer. Speaking to Radio Toscana he said: “Jovetic? We can’t make this kind of deal, In attack, we are almost complete.”

Fiorentina director general Pantaleo Corvino slams Milan Badelj’s agent for “unacceptable and out of place” links to Milan.

The Croatian international was linked with the Rossoneri in the summer, and his representative has repeatedly stated that they still want to do a deal in January or in June.

“I’ve known the player’s agent [Dejan Joksimovic] for years,” Corvino said on Radio Toscana.

“This summer I read his abnormal phrases and when I returned to Fiorentina I called him and gave him two or three slaps… good natured ones.

“For several months he was silent and then he came out with his recent statements, which we consider unacceptable and out of place.

“I realise Badelj doesn’t share his words, he’s a model professional.”
