According to The Sun, Harry Redknapp will make a cameo appearance in the movie "Midfield Hero," which recreates the legendary story from 1994 when he pulled West Ham United fan Steve Davies from the stands to play. Sir Ridley Scott is producing, Eddie Marsan plays Redknapp, and Anson Boon plays Davies. Filming has already begun. At the time, Davies, frustrated with Lee Chapman's performance, kept jeering him, so Redknapp brought him onto the field. Davies then scored, helping West Ham United to a 4-0 victory. The moment was never filmed but will now be brought to the screen for the first time.

The Sun exclusively announced the film in June, stating at the time that Redknapp would appear. Eddie Marsan, 58, has been cast as Harry in "Midfield Hero," while Anson Boon, 26, will play the angry fan, Steve.
A source said: "This moment is one of the greatest true stories in football history, and fans will love seeing it brought to the screen. Harry was eager to be involved in the film and is honored that Eddie is willing to play him."
Reportedly, filming has already begun.
Steve could be heard at the time taunting striker Lee Chapman and repeatedly calling him a "donkey" due to his poor performance.
Harry then walked into the stands, brought him down to play, and Steve subsequently scored, helping West Ham United secure a 4-0 victory.
Harry later explained the substitution, saying, "There was a guy next to the dugout."
"He had West Ham tattoos all over his arms and neck. Two minutes later, he started yelling at me: 'We don't have Lee Chapman up front, do we? If he keeps playing, I'm not coming every week.'"
"In the first half, I made five substitutions because I was running out of players. Then we had another injury, so I said to the guy, 'Hey, you talk a big game—are you that good at playing?'"
Harry also later told the stadium announcer that he had brought on "a wonderful Bulgarian, Titichev."
Steve later ran a courier company. Speaking about that goal in 2013, he said: "I just lashed at it. That moment was like time stood still. It was the greatest moment of my life."
"After that, I was exhausted. Back then, I was smoking 30 cigarettes a day. I also had a few beers and smoked a few cigarettes in the first half, didn't I?"
Because this historic moment was never filmed, Anson, Eddie, and Ellie Bamber, who plays Steve's girlfriend, are now recreating it.
