Barcelona officially announced the signing of Spanish midfielder Rodri from Manchester City. As a result, only Haaland, Ruben Dias, and Grealish remain from Manchester City's starting XI in the Champions League final during their treble-winning season.

Rodri joined Manchester City from Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2019 and has since played under Pep Guardiola. During this period, Rodri won one Ballon d'Or, one Champions League, four Premier League titles, two FA Cups, three League Cups, and one Club World Cup.

In the 2022-23 Champions League final, Rodri started and scored the only goal of the match, helping Manchester City secure their first Champions League title and a historic treble. After his departure, only Haaland, Ruben Dias, and Grealish remain from Manchester City's starting lineup in that match.
