Reports from "Corriere dello Sport" indicate that Diego Armando Maradona's name has once again become central to two entirely different events, both of which will shake the world that accompanied him throughout his life.

On one hand, there's the trial concerning Maradona's death, where a new discovery could undermine a key piece of evidence from the prosecution; on the other hand, there's the tragic plight of Napoli's former teammate and close friend, striker Pietro Puzone, who was found in critical condition in Acerra and subsequently rushed to the hospital. Both events are intertwined by the memory of the Argentine superstar. In Buenos Aires, it was recently discovered that a medical record used by experts to compile the forensic report on Maradona's death might actually belong to his father, Don Diego. This serious error could affect the subsequent proceedings of the case.
Maradona's Death Case: Forensic Report Used His Father's Medical Records
This discovery reportedly came to light during the testimony of an expert involved in the medical committee. This committee, comprising 20 experts, was tasked with reconstructing Maradona's health status. While analyzing the kidney function of the former "Number 10" based on some examination data from 2015, a lawyer discovered an inconsistency in the documents. These examination data might not belong to Diego, but rather to his father, Don Diego Maradona. In 2015, Don Diego had received treatment at a facility under the Swiss Medical Group and suffered from serious health problems. Therefore, these clinical data may have been mistakenly attributed to Maradona himself. "This situation is unprecedented and shocking; it's impossible to know what to do," said Francisco Oneto, the lawyer for neurosurgeon Leopoldo Luque, one of the main defendants in the case. What needs to be confirmed now is how much influence this information had in the forensic report. After reviewing the case files, medical records, and existing examination data, experts had concluded that Maradona did not receive adequate treatment for his condition, and his death could have been avoided. Eight doctors, nurses, and medical staff have been indicted in the case, all of whom were responsible for his care during the Argentine football king's hospitalization.
