Man United have been monitoring Newcastle left-back Lewis Hall this summer, but Newcastle manager Eddie Howe’s response was unequivocal: the English defender will not be sold.

It is understood that Man United are searching for a new left-back and have shown strong interest in 21-year-old Hall. Transfer speculation surrounding Hall's future has intensified this summer, with some reports suggesting his situation at Newcastle could be uncertain.
However, Newcastle have no intention of selling Hall. The club has already lost several key players during the transfer window and, with the deadline fast approaching, is highly unlikely to allow the young full-back to depart.
Following Newcastle’s 2-2 draw with Liverpool, Man United legend Peter Schmeichel, who was working as a ViaPlay commentator, directly addressed Howe during the live broadcast: “We (Man United) want your left-back.”
Howe initially did not hear clearly, but after confirming what had been said, he immediately responded with a smile: "No way! No way!"
