According to COPE journalist Antonio Ruiz, Atletico Madrid is preparing to add all recent statements made by Barcelona president Laporta to its previously filed complaint.

With one week remaining in the season, Alvarez's future has reached a critical juncture following recent official statements and behind-the-scenes developments. Antonio Ruiz revealed on "Game Time" that Atletico Madrid will soon expand its complaint against Barcelona. The decision follows a video released by Barcelona president Laporta, in which he publicly reiterated his desire to sign the Argentine forward.

Antonio Ruiz added that Atletico Madrid's management believes Barcelona president Laporta's public pressure directly harms the club's stability and the player's performance. The journalist emphasized: "All statements made by Laporta will be added to the complaint, as they believe Barcelona continues to harm the club and the player." This has also significantly heightened internal tensions.

In fact, Alvarez missed the latest training session due to illness. The club internally attributes this to tension caused by uncertainty over his future.

Under this mounting pressure, Atletico Madrid's majority shareholder and owner, Apollo Fund, fully supports CEO Miguel Angel Gil Marin's position. Gil Marin has refused from the outset to sell the key player to Barcelona. Although Atletico Madrid initially made it clear that the player is not for sale, a transfer cannot be entirely ruled out if the London club submits a substantially higher offer that meets Atletico's demands and Alvarez pushes for the move. However, this would create significant squad-planning challenges due to the lack of suitable replacements.

Atletico Madrid's legal action stems from Laporta's video statement, in which he publicly expressed his desire to sign the forward. The Barcelona president said: "We hope our offer will be accepted, and we do this with full respect for Atletico Madrid." He also mentioned an offer of 100 million euros in six installments made earlier this summer, which Atletico Madrid immediately rejected. Laporta explained his phone conversation with Miguel Angel Gil Marin, who told him they could not release the forward due to the lack of a reliable replacement.

However, Laporta claimed Atletico Madrid had been in contact with other clubs: "We received information that Atletico Madrid were negotiating or communicating with other clubs regarding the possibility of selling Alvarez, which prompted us to maintain our offer."

The off-field tension has directly affected performances on the pitch. Alvarez was booed and criticized by fans during the match against Villarreal, receiving a cold reception from the home crowd. He came on as a substitute in the 66th minute. Furthermore, Diego Pablo Simeone did not allow the forward and his teammates to applaud the fans after the match, in what was clearly a club decision.
