Journalist Abdellah Boulma reported that the total cost of Mbappé's transfer to Aston Villa is expected to be around €60 million: €55 million fixed transfer fee, plus €1 million in solidarity mechanism compensation, and a sell-on clause worth approximately €4 million.

Regarding the sell-on clause, the journalist clarified that if Aston Villa sells Mbappé in the future, Paris Saint-Germain will receive an additional €4 million. This amount will increase based on Mbappé's future resale price.
