In Al-Hilal's 5-1 victory over Khaleej FC in the Saudi League, Moroccan goalkeeper Bounou once again demonstrated his exceptional penalty-saving ability.
After Koulibaly committed a costly error that resulted in a penalty, Bounou employed his signature standing technique to save Barrow's spot-kick.

This penalty-saving method is identical to how Bounou saved during the shootout against the Netherlands at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. He used the same standing technique to deny the Netherlands' Sergiño Dest, who is now his teammate at Al-Hilal.

Bounou's four penalty saves at the World Cup are tied for the most in history. He has conceded only two goals from nine penalties faced at the World Cup, which is also a World Cup record. At Al-Hilal, Bounou has saved five out of thirteen penalties.
