He stated on social media: "We will continue to work and keep a close eye on the players. Yesterday in France, I watched the Lille vs. PSG match with Paul Clement to observe Alexsandro, Marquinhos, and Beraldo."

Ancelotti thus observed the three players he was particularly interested in. Marquinhos played a crucial role, scoring a header in the 90+5th minute to help PSG equalize.
