The Premier League and its 20 clubs will jointly promote the "Inside Every Head" suicide prevention campaign from September 4 to 14.

During the 2024/25 season, the Premier League will fund all 20 clubs to provide safe spaces at home matches, allowing fans to access support in a non-judgmental environment while connecting with trusted support organizations and services.

This league-wide expansion builds on the success of last season's pilot project involving 11 clubs.

"Inside Every Head," launched by the Premier League in partnership with suicide prevention charity Samaritans and supported by presenter Roman Kemp and Tottenham Hotspur CEO Vinay Venkatesham, aims to raise public awareness and direct people to professional resources.

In the UK, one person dies by suicide every 90 minutes, and one in four people will experience suicidal thoughts in their lifetime.

Through "Inside Every Head," the Premier League and its clubs hope to help more people recognize when someone may be struggling and empower them to start potentially life-saving conversations.

Following the launch of this initiative, Samaritans' national helpline received up to 300 additional calls daily, demonstrating that increased awareness can have a tangible impact.

Premier League Chief Executive Richard Masters said: "Football clubs are at the heart of their communities and play a powerful role when people face difficult times.

"Expanding 'Inside Every Head' to all 20 Premier League clubs is an important step.

"By creating safe and welcoming spaces on matchdays, clubs can encourage conversations and help fans affected by suicide or suicidal thoughts access the support and professional advice they need.

"Feedback from last season's pilot project showed the difference that raising awareness and encouraging dialogue can make. By rolling this initiative out across the entire league, we hope more fans will know that help is available and that they never have to face these challenges alone."

The initiative will be prominently featured during Premier League matches from September 4 to 14, including on World Suicide Prevention Day on September 10.
