Under Carrick, you have a lot of attacking freedom on the pitch. Many players, after joining big clubs, are usually confined by rigid tactical instructions. Do you feel you have enough space to express yourself?

Yes, we have a lot of freedom, especially since some forwards can play in multiple positions. The movement of the four attacking players is very flexible. Sometimes players move into areas where they're not naturally at their best, but through daily training, we know what to do in those positions. The manager told us that every forward needs to be familiar with the responsibilities of different positions. Match situations change rapidly, and this understanding gives us a lot of freedom on the pitch.

So you're not restricted to fixed positions, but instead given the flexibility to move around through training.

Exactly. Once we're on the pitch, we can freely switch positions without worrying about anything.

Is Carrick as calm in real life as he appears on camera? Whether after a loss or a win, his emotions always seem balanced. Does he treat players with the same consistent attitude?

Yes, he's naturally very calm and rarely gets angry. Of course, I've seen him lose his temper once or twice, but overall, he always stays composed and influences the whole team with his calm demeanor.

Does this coaching style suit you? You yourself seem to be a calm and laid-back person.

It suits me perfectly. I naturally prefer a relaxed pace when dealing with things, so there's no issue at all.

I've watched your social media videos before, and you have so many interests. When you leave the training ground and want to completely escape football pressure, what do you do? I saw you play piano, violin, gaming, and watching anime.

If I want to escape the pressure, I choose to play piano. When I'm playing, the world seems to contain only me and the music, and everything around me fades away. Of course, I'm also an avid gamer, and I spend most of my free time gaming.

When I interviewed you last season, I asked if there was a piano at the training ground, and you said there wasn't at that time.

Still no permanent one, but the club specially borrowed a piano for me once to film some content. I played a short piece, but none of my teammates joined in.

Are you hard on yourself when reviewing matches? For example, in the Ipswich match, you both missed a chance and scored a goal. Afterward, what stayed with you more: the goal or the missed chance? What was your mindset like?

I review both. To improve, you have to confront what you didn't do well and what you need to work on, then refine it in subsequent training sessions. At the same time, scoring a goal is a joyful moment, and that happiness shouldn't be overlooked.

I interviewed you right after Carrick took over, and even then, you said the team's morale had been completely revived. Eight months later, is this change even more evident? Is your mindset completely different from when you first joined the squad?

The foundation of the team was already very good when I arrived. From day one, we've been building a stronger team step by step. After last season and the start of this season, the team building has reached a different level, and we're achieving something remarkable.

In an interview at the end of last season, my colleague asked you to sum up your entire season in one word, and you answered "average." Clearly you set high standards for yourself. If you had to do that again at the end of this season, what word would you use to describe it?

Outstanding.

For you, what does an outstanding season look like?

On an individual level, scoring as many goals and providing as many assists as possible; on a team level, giving everything in every competition and trying to win more matches.
