According to the Daily Mail, West Ham United midfielder Tomáš Souček has received violent threats from Millwall fans ahead of this weekend's highly anticipated London derby.

West Ham United will visit Millwall this Saturday, marking their first meeting in 14 years—a clash widely regarded as one of English football's most intense rivalries.

The 31-year-old Czech international has been sidelined with an ankle injury and has not yet featured for West Ham this season, but has been supporting manager Nuno Espírito Santo's side from the bench.

However, during a recent public encounter, the midfielder was confronted by a Millwall fan with threatening language.

A video circulating on social media shows Souček being warned by the supporter: "If I see you at The Den next Saturday, I'll cut your damn face off, you bastard."

Previous encounters between Millwall and West Ham have been marred by racist abuse from both sets of supporters. In August 2009, when the teams met in the League Cup, a 44-year-old fan was stabbed in the chest.

That match also witnessed three pitch invasions. After the final whistle, hundreds of West Ham fans gathered outside the club's former ground, Upton Park, and clashed with police, who were attacked with thrown bins and bottles.

London police deployed 200 riot officers, at least 20 mounted police, and a helicopter for that fixture. One Millwall supporter described the atmosphere outside the stadium as a "war zone."

The Millwall fan told media: "It was like a war zone outside the stadium, with fights everywhere. I brought my kids, and they witnessed terrible violence."

The owner of a nearby kebab shop added: "Everything was chaos—it was terrifying. People were throwing bottles and bricks from behind, some hitting West Ham fans in the front rows. Many people had blood on their faces."
