TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Report

Colombian playmaker Nicolas Benedetti has publicly stated that he's received a "very good proposition" to join an unnamed MLS side in the United States, and that he's "analyzing it," during a radio interview with Colombian outlet El Corrillo de Mao.

"The U.S. is a very good proposition, but I'm analyzing it," he said. "I'll make the best decisions."

Benedetti was speaking in the wake of his commanding performance in Deportivo Cali's 4-0 Copa Sudamericana rout of Bolivar on Wednesday, in which he notched a goal and assist to put his team on course for advancement to the tournament's round of 16.

Benedetti, 21, was reportedly one of Minnesota United's top offseason transfer targets, with the Loons said to have tabled a $4 million offer last winter, but falling short of a deal with Cali.

Known as "The Poet," Benedetti made his debut for Deportivo in 2015 and has won one league title with the club, also appearing in both Copa Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana action. He's yet to be capped by his country's national team, but was named to Colombia's preliminary roster for the 2016 Copa America Centenario before missing the final cut.
