Jordie van der Laan, who played for Dutch second-tier team Telstar, was released after being spotted watching Tottenham-Ajax game in London.

He reported sick in order to not attend the training before the game.
"I reported sick because I was convinced that I would not be released from the training," the attacker explained.
"With this decision, I have taken into account that we did not play for anything anymore with Telstar and I, given the number of playing minutes in the recent period, had only a small chance of playing in our next game.
"In any other case, I definitely would not have gone to London. However, I still stated before the Champions League match that I was not sick and was in London. So it wasn't that people from the club were surprised to recognize me on TV. At that moment they were already informed.
"Of course I realize that it has been a very awkward action. I had a conversation with the team last Thursday about the situation and in good harmony, we decided to separate.
He now also jokes on Twitter that he would also like to get a ticket for the return game: "I don't deserve a ticket for Wednesday's game now? After all, I am free."
