FIFA has confirmed that 20 clubs across Africa are currently banned from registering new players due to unresolved payment disputes. Among the clubs affected are CR Belouizdad, Zamalek SC, Wiliete SC, Vision FC, Ngezi Platinum FC, AS Vita Club, Al Ahly Benghazi, Singida Black Stars, Kengold SC, TS Galaxy, Free State Stars, Nkana FC, Africa Sports d’Abidjan, Al Nasr, Sagrada Esperança, TRA United SC, St George SC, Al Falah Atbara, and Accra Hearts of Oak.

The ban means that these clubs cannot complete any new signings until all outstanding payments are settled with former players, staff, or other clubs. FIFA’s move underscores the growing importance of financial discipline in football administration, particularly in African leagues where delayed payments have become a recurring issue.
Officials have warned that continued failure to honor financial obligations could lead to further sanctions, including points deductions or restrictions on participation in continental competitions. Clubs affected will need to act swiftly to resolve their debts if they hope to strengthen their squads ahead of upcoming seasons.
