Antonio Rudiger said "good players are always welcome" at Real Madrid following the club's reported interest in his Germany team-mates Nico Schlotterbeck and Felix Nmecha.

The Borussia Dortmund duo have both been linked with a move to the Spanish capital this summer, where Rudiger recently extended his contract by an extra year.

Among Dortmund players, Schlotterbeck won the second-most duels (158), third-most aerial duels (66) and second-most tackles (37) in the Bundesliga this season, while playing only 28 games.

Nmecha, meanwhile, completed the fourth-most passes (937) and won the fourth-most duels (117) among his team-mates in the league as he made his impact in midfield.

Both players also scored in Germany's 7-1 win over Curacao at the World Cup, further boosting their profiles ahead of a busy summer.

Madrid have already signed Marc Cucurella, Bernardo Silva and Ibrahima Konate this summer, and Rudiger believes there is room for more additions.

"Good players are always welcome. I would be very happy, absolutely," Rudiger told Sky Germany when asked about Madrid's links with Schlotterbeck and Nmecha.

And on Schlotterback, Rudiger added: "Nico has always been a threat, especially from set pieces.

"He’s aggressive, he’s always there in duels and his build-up play is outstanding. His left foot is gold."
