Deportivo La Coruña officially confirmed on July 3 that the club had paid the release clause for Spanish international goalkeeper Leo Román. The goalkeeper has officially become a new Deportivo La Coruña player, signing a five-season contract.
Before joining Deportivo La Coruña, Leao Román made 40 La Liga appearances for Mallorca over the past two seasons. His outstanding performances in goal earned him a call-up to the Spanish national team.
Before that, he played for Real Oviedo in the Segunda División during the 2023-24 season, making 42 appearances and recording 14 clean sheets.
