Rangers have completed the signing of centre-back Olwethu Makhanya in a deal worth around £3m.

The 22-year-old is the club's eighth summer signing and joins on a four-year contract from Philadelphia Union, with Rangers holding the option of a further 12 months.

Sky Sports News revealed earlier this month the South Africa international - who had played 53 times for the MLS club - was of interest to Ibrox chiefs this summer.
