Newcastle United officially announced that head coach Howe has informed the club of his decision to resign as the team's head coach. The club accepted his decision and thanked him for his outstanding contributions to the team.

From the first day I, Jason, and the entire coaching staff arrived here almost five years ago, Newcastle felt like home, and the local people welcomed us with open arms. We have always been incredibly proud to represent this club, and this city will always hold a very special place in our hearts."

"There have been so many unforgettable moments over these years. From successfully securing our Premier League status in my first season as coach, to experiencing unforgettable Champions League nights at St. James' Park, we have grown very quickly."

"Everyone united to build a fighting team, ultimately winning the club's first major domestic trophy in 70 years. These memories, I will cherish for a lifetime."

Howe specifically thanked club chairman Yasir Al-Rumayyan, shareholder Jamie Reuben, director Mehrdad Ghodoussi, Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF), CEO Darren Eales, sporting director Dan Ashworth, and all the club's management for their trust and the opportunity to coach this club.

Regarding the future of Newcastle, Howe said: "I remain full of confidence and anticipation for Newcastle's future. The club has an excellent management team, and I believe that whoever takes over from me will continue to lead the team to success with everyone."

He also expressed gratitude to the coaching staff, the backroom staff, and all the players who played for the team during his tenure, stating: "None of this would have been possible without you, and it has been my privilege to coach you."

Finally, Howe bid a heartfelt farewell to the Newcastle fans: "Most importantly, thank you to all the incredible fans. Your passion and loyalty inspire me every day. Under his leadership, Newcastle won the club's first major domestic trophy in 70 years; qualified for the Champions League twice; and reached the Champions League knockout stage for the first time in club history.
