On August 5, according to transfer reporter Romano, Chelsea are finalizing the details of the Pape Chavarria deal, with the agreement nearing completion.

Romano stated that after exclusively revealing Chelsea's new offer a few days ago, the agreement between Chelsea and Rayo Vallecano is close to being finalized. The fixed transfer fee for this deal is 19 million euros, plus add-ons, and relevant details are still being clarified, after which the player will be allowed to travel.
