Young, a former Manchester United player, has stated in an interview that he believes his old club's £35 million investment in signing Tielemans last summer was a deal worthy of 9.5 out of 10.

In an interview with TSR Football, Young acknowledged that given his past difficulties facing United's midfielders, Tielemans is undoubtedly a "9.5 out of 10 signing."

"Man Utd signing Tielemans? 9.5 out of 10," Young said.

"A brilliant player, transferring from one of my former clubs to another. He's always been excellent, you know that."

"Every time we faced him, he was a difficult opponent to play against. He can read the game, create chances, score goals, and even convert free kicks."

"So Man Utd has signed a very talented player. I think Carrick has done very well with this deal."

Notably, the former Manchester United captain rated Guimaraes only 8.5 out of 10, which makes Tielemans's higher rating even more significant by comparison.
