According to transfer journalist Romano on August 13, "Here we go", Lazio has reached an agreement with Internazionale to sign Frattesi.

Romano stated: An official announcement is imminent! The Italian midfielder will join on a €1 million loan with a €14 million buyout option; the option will become a mandatory buyout based on appearances or Lazio's final Serie A ranking. Internazionale also retains a 50% sell-on clause.
