According to Japanese media, the Japan Football Association (JFA) held a board meeting in Tokyo on the 20th and reported on the alleged sexual hospitality received by Japanese referees from the Korea Football Association.

Regarding this matter, Korean media previously reported exclusively that the Korea Football Association provided sexual hospitality to foreign referees officiating matches involving the Korean national team multiple times between March 2011 and March 2012. Among them, Japanese referees were also alleged to have received sexual hospitality, and the JFA commissioned an external law firm to conduct a fact-finding investigation.

Managing Director Kazuyuki Yukawa stated: "Lawyers from the external law firm interviewed 6 out of 7 relevant referees based on the reports, and one person confirmed in writing. The results show that despite reports of the Korea Football Association manipulating match results or providing hospitality accompanied by improper sexual services, we could not confirm these allegations." "He also stated that there was no request from the Korean authorities for assistance in the investigation.

This investigation was based solely on reports and focused on two points: whether the association manipulated matches and whether sexual hospitality was provided. The JFA did not contact the Korea Football Association and has no intention of further investigation.
