On August 21, according to exclusive news obtained by Saudi media outlet Arriyadiyah, Ukrainian player Artem Bondarenko officially signed a contract to join Al-Ahli's first team.

Sources revealed that Bondarenko completed the promotional video shoot for his arrival at the team’s club base on Wednesday, local time, after passing his medical examination. Both parties signed a 3-year contract, and Bondarenko will wear the number 19 jersey.
However, because Al-Ahli has not yet reached an agreement with French player Enzo Millot over his departure, the club has not officially announced Bondarenko's arrival.
It is reported that Al-Ahli's management has been negotiating with Millot for more than 10 days to resolve their contractual relationship, hoping to find a solution that would end their cooperation. However, Millot still refuses to leave the team, and the club is continuing its efforts to persuade him to accept the departure arrangement.
Previously, Al-Ahli's management had reached an agreement with a Saudi Second Division team for Millot's transfer, as the other party was interested in signing the French player. However, Millot rejected the move at the time.
Al-Ahli are still working to reach a mutually acceptable solution with Millot to free up a registration spot in the squad.
The options being considered by the club include selling Millot’s contract outright if a suitable offer is received, or loaning him to another club in Saudi Arabia or overseas.
Al-Ahli hopes to resolve Millot's issue as soon as possible in order to complete Bondarenko's registration and officially add the Ukrainian player to the team roster.
