Liverpool forward Jayden Danns has finally returned to action. On Friday night, he made his first appearance of the season for the Liverpool U21 team in an away match against Everton at Goodison Park. According to the Echo, with Danns back to match fitness, Liverpool will now assess whether he should be loaned out before the transfer window closes to gain senior team experience and aid his development.

Danns featured in the Premier League 2 opener, coming on as a substitute after approximately 60 minutes. The 20-year-old forward had previously endured a lengthy injury layoff – he suffered a severe hamstring injury last September, returning in March, but then suffered another setback. Earlier last month, Danns sustained another hamstring issue, causing him to miss Liverpool's pre-season preparations.
Liverpool U21 coach Page stated that game time is crucial for Danns, and this derby return will help him.
"He needs game time, and this appearance at Everton will certainly help him," Page said. "He has been performing exceptionally well in training, and that was a very difficult match – a local derby, an away game against Everton, playing at Goodison Park. He has been eager to play, and now his fitness looks good."
Page believes Danns has taken an important step, and the club can now seriously discuss next steps.
"Now that he has gotten some game time, we can start discussions. He is currently in good physical condition, so we will sit down and make the most appropriate decision for him. Whatever the final choice, we will strive to find the best development plan for Jayden."
