According to Bild, Bayern has decided to include Jamal Musiala in the squad for the match against Schalke 04. Musiala fully participated in the final pre-match training on Friday and traveled with the team to Gelsenkirchen, marking his return to the squad after missing 3 consecutive official matches.

On Friday evening local time, Musiala departed with the entire Bayern team from Oberpfaffenhofen Airport to Gelsenkirchen. Previously, Musiala had missed 3 consecutive official matches: Bayern's 2-1 victory over Dortmund in the DFL-Supercup, the 5-1 win against Stuttgart in the Bundesliga, and the 4-1 victory over VfL Osnabrück in the DFB-Pokal.

During preseason, Musiala had collapsed in two friendly matches due to absence seizures caused by a neurological condition. Now he will return to Bayern's official match squad for the first time. Just hours before, it remained uncertain whether Musiala would be fit enough to travel.

On Friday morning, Bayern coach Vincent Kompany addressed the situation: "We will see what happens in training today and then make the best decision for Jamal and the team. According to Bild, Musiala fully participated in Bayern's final pre-match training, performing well and completing all training content. Therefore, nothing prevents him from rejoining the squad. As a result, attacking player Serge Gnabry is the only member of Kompany's current Bayern squad unable to travel. Gnabry previously suffered an adductor tear in his right thigh and remains slightly behind in his recovery, thus not traveling to Gelsenkirchen.
