Official news: 39-year-old English forward Jamie Vardy has joined Championship club Burnley on a contract until the end of the season.

Burnley officially announced that experienced forward Jamie Vardy has joined the club, signing a contract until the end of the current season.

Vardy, 39, played for Serie A side Cremonese last season and departed as a free agent this summer.

Burnley manager Nicky Hayen expressed enthusiasm about the signing: "We are thrilled to welcome Jamie to Burnley. His experience and leadership will be invaluable to our squad, and we believe he can make a significant impact on our season.
