According to Corriere dello Sport, Roma has achieved eight consecutive Serie A wins spanning two seasons, with coach Gasperini officially matching the club's long-standing record. This accomplishment places him among Roma's most successful coaches.

The winning streak spans from the end of the 2024-25 season through the opening of the 2025-26 season. It comprises five consecutive wins to close last season—defeating Bologna, Fiorentina, Parma, Lazio, and Hellas Verona—followed by three consecutive wins to begin the new campaign: victories over Fiorentina, Lecce, and Atalanta. The eight matches featured formidable opponents, including the Roma Derby, two fixtures against Fiorentina, and encounters with Bologna and Atalanta.

Roma's dominant run has produced impressive statistics. In the final five league matches of last season, they scored 13 goals while conceding just 2. In the first three matches of the new season, they added 10 goals while conceding only 1. Across all eight matches, Roma tallied 23 goals and conceded 3, accumulating a perfect 24 points. Treated as a standalone mini-league, this run would rank Roma comfortably at the top of the table.

The team's overall performance has been exceptional: 71 shots (26 on target), 66% average possession, 1,830 successful passes, 203 entries into the opponent's penalty area, 65 crosses, 55 dribbles, and 70 duels won. Roma also recorded 20 high presses in the opponent's half, demonstrating comprehensive dominance at both ends of the pitch.

With this eight-game winning streak, Gasperini becomes the third coach in Roma's history to achieve eight consecutive Serie A wins. His predecessors include Luciano Spalletti, who recorded an eight-game streak in 2016 and an 11-game streak in the 2005-06 season, and Rudi Garcia, who achieved a 10-game streak and an eight-game streak during the 2013-14 season.

Roma has an opportunity to break further records. The team faces Torino on Monday; a victory would give Gasperini sole possession of third place on the club's all-time consecutive wins list. Before the international break, Roma will also face Inter Milan in a crucial fixture, offering another chance to extend the streak and potentially set a new club record.

It is worth noting that Gasperini has a proven track record of building extended winning runs. During his tenure at Atalanta, he achieved two impressive streaks: nine consecutive wins in 2020 and 11 consecutive wins in 2024. Now he has brought this elite winning-streak expertise to Roma.
