According to Bild, Bayern Munich's entire squad will head to Oktoberfest on the afternoon of September 20, creating scheduling pressure for international players.

Despite the extended international break running from September 21 to October 6, Bayern Munich will maintain its traditional official Oktoberfest visit this year. Head coach Kompany, coaching staff, players, employees, and club executives will all attend the Käfer tent.

Starting September 21, clubs must release selected players to their respective national teams. For players facing long travel distances—such as Luis Díaz, Kim Min-jae, and Alphonso Davies—attending Oktoberfest on Saturday is preferable, allowing them to rest on Sunday or depart early to report to their national teams.

The club chose September 20 over Oktoberfest's opening day (September 19) to avoid crowds and reduce organizational and security pressure on the Käfer tent, police, and Bayern Munich. The first Sunday traditionally offers a more relaxed atmosphere and has historically been Bayern Munich's preferred day to visit the second floor of the Käfer tent. However, this year's timing will create additional pressure for national team players.

There is no alternative to this trip. The new international break runs from September 21 to October 6, meaning national team players will be absent for nearly the entire Oktoberfest period, with only the opening Saturday and Sunday as exceptions. FIFA has combined the previously separate September and October international windows into one extended break for the first time in 2026. In previous years, Bayern Munich players would privately attend Oktoberfest together following official club events, but this year, the vast majority will be unable to do so.
