According to Manchester United news website unitedinfocus, former Manchester United and Arsenal striker Welbeck has joined an "exclusive club" after signing for Premier League side Chelsea this summer.

Welbeck made his Chelsea debut in a pre-season friendly against Juventus on Wednesday.

Chelsea officially confirmed the signing of the 35-year-old former Manchester United player, bringing him in from Brighton for an undisclosed fee.

The former Arsenal forward performed well during the 2025-26 season for Brighton, scoring 14 goals in 40 appearances across all competitions.

Welbeck now stands alongside George Graham as only the second player in history to have played for Manchester United, Chelsea, and Arsenal in their career.

The former England international made his debut for Manchester United under Sir Alex Ferguson before leaving Old Trafford in 2014 to join Arsenal.

The Manchester United academy graduate played for Watford and Brighton after leaving Arsenal in 2019.
