According to the Manchester Evening News, Manchester United's plan to pursue Brighton midfielder Carlos Baleba this summer may be temporarily put on hold due to a sudden injury to the player.

It is reported that the Cameroonian international suffered an ankle ligament injury, and the Red Devils are currently unlikely to proceed with related transfer negotiations.

Carlos Baleba has been a key target for Manchester United in recent years, as the club seeks to sign a young midfielder with defensive capabilities to strengthen the team's midfield. Last summer, Brighton valued Baleba at £100 million, which ultimately led Manchester United to shelve their pursuit.
