According to the latest news from renowned reporter Sami Mokbel, Manchester United is pushing for a deal to sign Leicester City youngster Louis Paige. The 18-year-old midfielder was named EFL Academy Player of the Year last season and is considered one of the most promising young talents outside the top flight.

Paige has made 21 appearances for Leicester's first team – including 5 starts during their Championship relegation campaign last season – with his most recent appearance coming in Saturday's League Cup victory over Northampton.
It is understood that negotiations between the two clubs are still ongoing.
In recent weeks, Arsenal and Aston Villa have also shown strong interest in Paige, who turned 18 last month.
Following 17-year-old forward Jeremie Munganga's move to Manchester City, Paige could become another academy prospect to leave Leicester City.
The youngster signed a professional contract with Leicester City in September 2025, which means Manchester United will need to negotiate a transfer fee with the Championship club.
At the time of signing that contract, Leicester City described him as "one of the brightest talents in our academy system."
He joined the club at U9 level and made his first-team debut in August 2025 in a League Cup match against Huddersfield Town.
