On August 16, Scottish Premiership club St. Mirren officially announced that 20-year-old Arsenal forward Kabia has joined the club on loan.

St Mirren Football Club is delighted to announce the loan signing of Arsenal player Ismael Kabia for the entire season.

The 20-year-old becomes our ninth signing of the summer, joining from the 2026/27 Premier League champions.

The highly rated winger spent the 2025/26 season on loan at Shrewsbury, making 43 appearances in total. He scored a spectacular long-range goal against Fleetwood Town, earning him the EFL League Two Goal of the Month award for April.

Ismael was first named in the senior squad for Arsenal's 1-0 victory over rivals Tottenham in September 2024. His only competitive first-team appearance came in the 5-1 League Cup win against Bolton.

After representing Arsenal in a pre-season friendly against Real Betis, Ismael ultimately chose to join McLeish's squad despite interest from Scottish, English, and several European clubs. Once the transfer procedures are approved, Ismael will be available for tomorrow's Scottish League Cup match away to Rangers.
