On August 22, Lazio officially announced the signing of Ajax defender Josip Šutalo on loan with an option to buy.

According to Lazio's official announcement, the club has signed Šutalo from Ajax with an option to make the move permanent.

Šutalo is 24 years old and plays as a centre-back. He spent several seasons with Ajax before making this move.

Transfer reporter Fabrizio Romano previously revealed that Lazio and Ajax had reached an agreement over Šutalo’s transfer. According to Romano, the deal comprises a €3 million loan fee, a €7.5 million buy option, additional performance bonuses, and a 10% sell-on clause.

With Lazio’s official announcement, the deal has now been finalized. Šutalo will join Lazio on loan and is set to travel to Italy to begin his career with the Biancocelesti.
