Hugo Viana represented Manchester City at the Champions League group stage draw ceremony held early this morning. After the draw, he spoke to the club's official media and shared his thoughts.

Hugo Viana said: "Of course, playing against the Champions League winner is always challenging. We're delighted to see De Bruyne and Rodri again, and happy to face Barcelona. Barcelona is always difficult to deal with, especially away from home."
"We also played Napoli last year. It's great to have De Bruyne with us now, and wonderful to see him again on the pitch. It's always special to have friends as opponents. I'm also pleased to see my old club Sporting CP coming to Manchester, and to return to my home country to play against Porto."
"We're traveling to France to face Lens, who are in excellent form right now. AEK Athens are also very strong—they had a great season last year—and RB Leipzig are equally difficult opponents. It will be a tough group for everyone."
"We are ready to compete. You can never predict outcomes against these kinds of opponents. Every game is different—different coaches, different systems—but what I can guarantee is that we're ready to give everything. We're satisfied with the draw and know we must perform at our best."
