According to The Sun, Liverpool are in talks with Crystal Palace over Sarr, with the Senegalese star also keen on a move to Anfield.

After a successful spell at Crystal Palace, Sarr is eager for a new challenge. He helped the Eagles win the FA Cup and the UEFA Europa Conference League.

Sources close to the Senegalese international believe that the forward has reached the end of his time at Selhurst Park and feels now is the right time to leave.

Sarr believes he has given his all for Crystal Palace and now wants to join Liverpool to prove himself at the highest level.

Earlier this summer, Turkish giants Fenerbahce and Galatasaray both explored options to sign the winger.

However, Sarr was reportedly behind Marcus Rashford and Rafael Leão on their respective transfer shortlists.

Leão's move to Galatasaray has now opened up the possibility for Sarr to move to Liverpool, a transfer the player would warmly welcome.

Sarr enjoyed his most prolific season last term, netting 21 goals in all competitions.

In the previous season, he also scored 12 goals, gradually establishing himself as a key attacking player for Crystal Palace.

During that period, the Eagles lost several key players, including Olise, Eze, and more recently, Guéhi.

Sarr believes he has made his contribution to Crystal Palace and feels it would be fair for him to leave if the club receives a substantial transfer fee.

However, the Senegalese forward still has three years remaining on his contract with Crystal Palace, which means the Eagles hold a strong position in negotiations.

The Sun understands that Crystal Palace have received an offer for Sarr, but the club has been tight-lipped about the specific amount.

Liverpool and Sarr's agent team are now awaiting a response from Crystal Palace, and the situation is expected to develop before the transfer window closes on Tuesday.

Liverpool are also close to an agreement with Paris Saint-Germain for Ousmane Barcola, but they still hope to add another right winger to their squad.

The Reds previously submitted a bid of around £55 million for Brighton winger Yankuba Minteh, but it was rejected.

Like Minteh, Sarr primarily plays as a right winger and also contributes with goals and defensive work.

He has missed Crystal Palace's first two games of the season, but manager Oliver Glaston insists he wants to keep the forward.

Glaston told the media: "This is the case at the moment, because when you have a player with three years left on his contract, it's not easy to leave."

When asked about Liverpool's potential approach, Glaston added: "I understand that for everyone it's difficult to face this kind of approach from another club, because you hesitate for a long time.

"But for now, he is with us. He is under contract.

"He is injured, and maybe you can link his injury to this situation. But for me, he is honest, and I have no problem with that.

"We just want him back on the pitch as soon as possible."
