Manchester United CEO Omar Berrada and Football Director Dan Ashworth presented Bruno Fernandes with a commemorative gift to celebrate his election as PFA Players' Player of the Year.

The duo, representing the club, presented Fernandes with a custom-made football handcrafted by Manchester United fan Jon-Paul Wheatley. The lifelong supporter was inspired by an Opta graphic showing Bruno's 21 Premier League assists last season – a league record.

Jon-Paul stitched the path of each assist onto a specially made football, symbolizing Bruno's contribution to the team's return to Europe's elite competition.

To highlight the detail and add a personal touch, the football was crafted from red and white leather from Portugal, Bruno's home country.

Our Portuguese superstar lifted the PFA award at a ceremony in Manchester city center on Tuesday, being named the Premier League Player of the Season for 2024-25. Fernandes received the award from familiar face Juan Mata, who was delighted to share the moment with his former Manchester United teammate.

Bruno becomes the first Manchester United player to win the award since Wayne Rooney in 2009. The award is voted on by members of the Professional Footballers' Association each spring. Our captain thus joins a list of Manchester United legends who have won the prestigious PFA award – including Mark Hughes, Gary Pallister, Eric Cantona, Roy Keane, Teddy Sheringham, Ruud van Nistelrooy, Cristiano Ronaldo, Ryan Giggs, and the aforementioned Rooney.
