Commenting on Tottenham Hotspur's 0-2 loss to Newcastle, former Tottenham player O'Hara sharply criticized Tel over a poorly executed free-kick attempt during the match.

O'Hara commented, "Oh my god! That's one of the worst free-kicks I've ever seen." O'Hara's pundit partner Condie was amused by Tel's attempt, joking, "By the way, that ball probably flew out of the stadium."

O'Hara then added, "Listen, I didn't want to criticize him because he had a real chance there—if he'd actually curled it into the top corner, it would have been a different story. But his level is simply not good enough. I don't know why everyone hypes him up like he's a decent player. He's just not delivering."
