According to Fabrizio Romano's signature "Here we go" announcement, Liverpool will sign 18-year-old Belgian goalkeeper Lucca Brughmans from Genk for a total of €35 million. Brughmans' current market value on Transfermarkt is €4 million.

Romano confirmed that Liverpool has reached a verbal agreement with Genk to sign goalkeeper Lucca Brughmans. The deal is worth €35 million in total, and the player is expected to join in summer 2027. Liverpool has already cleared the player for a medical examination, with formal procedures to follow once the medical is completed.

Last season, Brughmans became Genk's starting goalkeeper for the first team. To date, he has made 15 appearances for the club, conceded 15 goals, and kept 6 clean sheets.
