Nottingham Forest has officially announced the signing of Crystal Palace defender Daniel Muñoz. The total transfer fee is reportedly £22 million.

The Colombian international has signed a three-year contract with Nottingham Forest, with the club holding the option to extend for an additional year.
The 25-year-old Muñoz began his professional career at Águilas Doradas in Colombia, making his first-team debut in 2017, before joining Atlético Nacional in 2019.
In 2020, Muñoz moved to Europe to join Belgian club Genk. During his time there, he established himself as one of the most attacking full-backs in the Belgian league, making 122 appearances, scoring 16 goals, and helping Genk win the Belgian Cup in 2021.
After nearly four years in Belgium, Muñoz joined Crystal Palace in January 2024 and quickly became an integral member of the first team.
Last season, the Colombian made 46 appearances across all competitions, including 29 Premier League appearances, contributing 4 goals and 3 assists. He also played an important role as Crystal Palace reached the Europa Conference League semi-finals.
At international level, Muñoz has earned 51 caps for Colombia since making his senior debut in 2021. He has participated in two Copa América tournaments and was selected for Colombia's 2026 World Cup squad.
Following his signing, Muñoz said: "I'm really excited because I can see there's so much talent here. Forest is a team with excellent players, with great quality and ability on the pitch. I can't wait to get on the field and help my new teammates. I think we can achieve something special.
First of all, this is a club that aims for success. When victory is the common expectation and philosophy shared by the club's management, coaching staff, and players, that makes all the difference.
This is a club that has been striving toward its goals in recent years and has been fiercely competitive. The team reached the Europa League semi-finals, and I believe the club has even higher ambitions for the future. That's what I like about Forest, and that's why I decided to come here."
