Enzo's Heartfelt Message for Messi: Hard to Imagine the National Team Without You

After Messi announced his retirement from the Argentina national team, Enzo posted a lengthy tribute to his captain on social media, accompanied by several photos together with Messi, and pinned the post.

Leo, when you said you were retiring from the national team, I was truly heartbroken.

Back then, I was just a kid, calculating your age and mine, wondering if I would ever get to play alongside you. It might sound silly now, but I really did it often: I would think about how many years you had left in your career, how long it would take me to make it to the senior team, and I'd dream that somehow, even if just once, we could wear the Argentina jersey together.

Fortunately, you came back.

And life became far better than that kid could have ever imagined.

Not only did I actually get to play with you, but we also trained together, shared a dressing room, talked, hugged, went through difficult times and beautiful moments together, and ultimately became world champions as a team.

But what I'll treasure most is how you've treated me since the moment I joined the national team.

I arrived full of anticipation, dreaming of playing with my idol, but I met someone who made me feel like part of the team from day one. You were always willing to say something to me, give me advice, give me a hug, or in your own way, make me feel comfortable when I needed it.

I will never forget these things.

Today, it's hard for me to imagine the next national team training camp without you. Walking onto the pitch and not seeing you there, wearing the number 10 jersey, ahead of me. For years, I've seen you there, so it's almost impossible to picture any other way.
