According to Liverpool Echo, Szoboszlai joined Liverpool's leadership group this summer.

Former Liverpool star Steve McManaman has called on Szoboszlai to take on the leadership responsibility left by Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson after they departed Anfield.
This summer, new manager Arne Slot appointed Szoboszlai as one of three vice-captains under captain Van Dijk. Alongside the Hungarian international in this role are veteran goalkeeper Alisson Becker and veteran defender Joe Gomez, who has been with the club since 2015.
Robertson and Salah left the team after the season ended. Since joining in 2017, they have made significant contributions to the club's successful period. Their departure has also raised concerns that, aside from Van Dijk, who is also the captain of the Netherlands, Liverpool lacks other strong leaders in the squad.
With Szoboszlai joining Anfield's leadership group, former Liverpool winger McManaman believes the former RB Leipzig player must now establish himself as an indispensable part of Slot's team.
McManaman said in an interview on the program: "Szoboszlai is another player establishing himself in this team."
"You know, Alisson, the goalkeeper, has been here for 10 years and is a superstar, Van Dijk, the center-back, is the same. Now it's Szoboszlai's turn to continue this team's central spine."
"We've lost a few important players over the years, and there are fewer key personalities on the pitch, so you need someone to step up, fill the void, or take responsibility."
"That's what superstars do. He's probably the real leader after Van Dijk, in the central midfield position, controlling how we play."
"His role this season is crucial because we've lost so many influential figures. You know, Salah has always been a very experienced voice in the dressing room."
"Robertson too. Both are very active, strong personalities who can control the dressing room. That role needs to continue, and hopefully, Alisson, Van Dijk, and Szoboszlai can take on very important roles and help the younger players develop quickly."
McManaman added: "For Slot and Liverpool, a successful season means competing in the cup competitions and returning to the Champions League. From what I've seen so far, I think this will be a good season for Slot, I really do."
"I still think they lack a bit to compete for the title, but if they can secure a Champions League spot, that's a good season for me."
"You know, there are a lot of young players in this team, and they're all good, but you can't put too much pressure on them when they have little Premier League experience."
"They need time to adapt. What I really hope is that the players we brought in last year will perform better this year, and I believe they will."
"Combining these factors, along with the improvement of last year's signings, the arrival of some new players this summer, and the energy that some of the young players in the squad bring, I think this will be a good season."
