According to Sport, Málaga midfielder Aarón Ochoa successfully underwent surgery on his right lateral meniscus in Madrid on Monday and has begun his recovery.

According to the Málaga club, Aarón Ochoa underwent a partial meniscectomy and had his meniscal capsule repaired with sutures. During the initial phase of recovery, he will require three weeks of non-weight-bearing activity, and his exact return date will depend on his progress, but injuries of this type typically require approximately three months.
Málaga stated that Aarón Ochoa successfully underwent surgery on Monday afternoon in Madrid, performed by Dr. Manuel Reyes. Pablo Campos, head of the Málaga first team medical department, was present during the procedure.
For the first three weeks following surgery, Aarón Ochoa will not be able to bear weight and will need to wear a brace on his right knee. The Málaga number 35 had previously exhausted conservative treatment options and has not played for the team since the third preseason match on August 6. He will soon begin rehabilitation under the supervision of the Málaga medical team.
