According to football.london, Richarlison has responded to his transfer situation after being excluded from Tottenham Hotspur's Premier League squad list and continues to wait for a resolution.

Just over two weeks ago, Richarlison was still starting as a striker for Tottenham Hotspur in their Premier League opener away to Brentford, but now he finds himself in an unwelcome and uncertain situation.

Richarlison's situation is complicated for both the club and the player. The 29-year-old participated in pre-season training throughout the summer, scored goals, and was Spurs' starting striker in the Premier League opener away to Brentford.

However, tensions emerged when Spurs arrived in Sydney during their summer tour. Football.london asked De Zerbi about the Brazilian player's future and contract situation at that time.

De Zerbi said: "I don't know. I like him as a player and as a person. His attitude and behavior are excellent, but ultimately we have to respect his wishes. We all know what he wants to do, but in my opinion, he is still an important player because strikers like Richarlison are not easy to find. He can score goals and knows how to play."

When football.london asked if Richarlison had requested to leave, De Zerbi added: "I don't know. I don't fully understand because sometimes he says he wants to stay, and sometimes he says he wants to leave. We always have to talk. No problem. He is a lovely person and we all like him—teammates, club, and staff alike. They like him because he works hard every day and is very committed. We have nothing to criticize him for on the pitch."

Following this, De Zerbi criticized Richarlison's performance in the Premier League opener against Brentford, a match in which he was unhappy with most of the players. In the next two matches against Charlton and Newcastle United, Richarlison did not play, and was not even included in the squad for the latter.

When football.london asked why, De Zerbi simply said: "Richarlison, I don't know. He has said too many times that he wants to leave."

Tottenham Hotspur initially believed they had found a solution for Richarlison, with negotiations with Everton progressing, but the deal ultimately fell through. Richarlison was frustrated with how the situation was handled.

Richarlison then posted on social media: "After everything I've been through in the past few years, I've decided that I will never again let anyone decide my future for me. I've experienced a lot of bad things, and almost everything happened because others made the decisions. Pressure, threats, retaliation—none of these scare me. Believe me, I've been through worse."

He continued: "I have always been very clear, and I will state it every time I have the opportunity, that a move to another club will only happen if it is also good for the club. If it is not good for the club, I will never accept it—just as I didn't accept leaving when everything was difficult and they needed me. I stayed and gave everything. So I hope they respect my situation, just as I have always respected Tottenham Hotspur and everyone I have worked with during this time. Stop trying to make decisions for me."

Richarlison also stated: "If Tottenham Hotspur and Everton reach an agreement, I will return to the club I love. My intention is to return to a place that makes me very happy. However, the negotiations are proceeding only in the way some people want, and that will no longer be the case. Despite the chaotic situation, I still have a contract with Tottenham Hotspur and will continue to follow the club's arrangements."
