According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Monza coach Ivan Jurić stated at the pre-match press conference ahead of the fixture against Lecce that he has confidence in the team and hopes they can secure the points needed for survival.

When asked about his expectations for Jay Robinson and Exquiel Zeballos and their current form, Jurić responded: "Robinson is a player born in 2007 with great potential. He needs to be trusted. Zeballos will be in the squad: we have confidence in him. He is a talented, hardworking player who wants to improve, and he has the qualities to perform well in Europe. Over these two weeks, I've seen a focused, sharp player who is keen to train and develop. He has suffered many injuries throughout his career, but he has the ability to perform well. He certainly possesses excellent talent. Ngonge is still somewhat off the pace."
On whether the hot weather will continue to affect the match, Jurić commented: "At Parma, we faced very challenging conditions with extremely hot weather. It would have been easier to play with greater intensity in an evening fixture like this, but that is the reality we face. Unfortunately, we are subject to TV broadcast schedules, so we simply have to accept it."
Regarding the recovery of injured players, he added: "Cutrone and Gustavo Varela have recovered. Dani Mota's situation will be assessed tomorrow as he has a minor issue. Others remain sidelined. Lecce is a difficult team to face. Although they have suffered two consecutive defeats, they can still create chances. We are the team with the most goals in the relegation zone. The key is converting the chances we create into goals."
