Moyes confirmed that Grealish is ready to make his first Premier League start for Everton this season, as the Toffees visit Tottenham Hotspur this Saturday.

Moyes stated that Grealish is now fit to start and hopes he can regain his best form quickly through playing matches.

Moyes said: "I think Grealish is special, and I feel he's ready to play. I think he's the kind of player who needs games more than training. Playing time will help him and gradually bring him back to his best form.

"He's trained well this week and has shown he's ready to start. If he can replicate his performances from the start of last season, that would be very exciting. We would be delighted if he could reach that level."

However, Nørgaard will still miss the match against Tottenham Hotspur due to injury, with Moyes expecting the midfielder to return only after the next international break.

Discussing the club's relatively lean squad, Moyes stated that a smaller squad is not necessarily a disadvantage, citing Leicester City's title-winning team as an example. He believes that a smaller but cohesive group also has the potential to succeed.

Moyes said: "I think sometimes a compact squad works. I'm not saying it will definitely succeed; if I had a choice, I would certainly want more players, but I've always preferred to work with around 21 non-goalkeeper players."
