Denmark striker Højlund answered questions from eight young fans on the official channels of the Danish Football Association. Among many topics, the Manchester United forward also discussed his admiration for Cristiano Ronaldo and shared interesting anecdotes about his life.

If you hadn't become a football player, what would you have been?
"Probably a bricklayer, like my father."
What's the nicest jersey you've ever swapped?
"I have a Ronaldo jersey, but I got it through a teammate. If I had to pick a few more, I'd choose Kroos and Modrić."
Who is the strongest player you've ever played against?
"I would say Ronaldo. He didn't completely dominate the game when I played against him, but the player who really impressed us was Palmer, who scored three goals against us back then (that was during his Manchester United days, editor's note)."
Who is your biggest idol?
"Ronaldo! I love his mentality, he's amazing."
What do you like to eat after a match?
"There's no fixed answer—sometimes it's toast, sometimes eggs, sometimes pasta. I need to eat something to refuel after playing because I'm always hungry."
What do you do before a match?
"I watch videos and that sort of thing. Eat well and try to relax. It's a bit like entering a trance state. I'll take a nap—that's my habit. I sleep for an hour to an hour and a half, and then I'm fully into the game, focused and ready to play."
