Liverpool have announced four more pre-season friendlies, with some of the games taking place before the World Cup even finishes.

The Reds will play four games in England, starting with a trip to take on National League North side Chester on July 7.

Then on July 11, four days before the World Cup final, Jurgen Klopp's team will be in action again as they make the short trip to play newly-promoted League Two outfit Tranmere Rovers.

A further away game is scheduled for July 14, when Liverpool will play another League Two team, Bury.

Following that Liverpool face Championship side Blackburn Rovers on July 19.

Liverpool had previously announced that they will play four more games against considerably more high-profile opponents.

As part of the International Champions Cup, Liverpool will play games in the United States against Borussia Dortmund, Manchester City and Manchester United on July 22, 25 and 28 respectively.

Liverpool will then conclude their preparations for the new campaign on August 4 when they travel to Italy to play Napoli away.

Klopp will be without a host of players for the start of the pre-season programme, with seven Liverpool stars at the World Cup, including Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Joe Gomez are both out injured, but Klopp will still be able to call upon the likes of Virgil Van Dijk, Nathaniel Clyne, James Milner, Georginio Wijnaldum and Adam Lallana for the early friendlies along with new signings Naby Keita and Fabinho.
